Fantastic Plastics : Fantastic Plastics 2011
Venezuela Brazil South Africa Portugal Greece France Belgium United States Mexico How are plastic products formed? There are a number of ways to manufacture plastic products – all of which apply heat and pressure to soften the raw material to form particular shapes which are subsequently cooled to retain that shape. Plastic products can be produced by: Extrusion moulding – pipes, sheets, films, tubes. Injection moulding – cups, gear wheels, telephones. Blow moulding – bottles, containers. Spin/Rotational moulding – tanks, drums and household goods. 6 Illustration shows the location of Tupperware’s manufacturing plants around the world.
